A private, offline-first mileage log for Android
A focused Android app for logging business and personal trips and exporting them at tax time, with no account, no ads and no data leaving the device.
Problem
Most mileage trackers want an account, track your location in the background, or show ads, which is a lot to ask from an app whose job is a simple log for your taxes.
What we built
- A Flutter app that stores everything in a local SQLite database (via Drift): saved locations, custom mileage rates and trip records.
- Fast trip entry built around frequent locations and default distances.
- CSV export through the system share sheet, so the user decides where their data goes.
- No sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no sensitive permissions, and no network requests carrying app data.
Result
Mileage Tracker is live on Google Play, with a privacy policy that fits in a paragraph: everything stays on your device.
