Finscape privacy policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Finscape ("the app") is developed by Koshka Solutions ("we", "us", "our"). Koshka Solutions is a trade name of Koshka Properties LLC, a New York limited liability company. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app.
The short version: your lesson and quiz progress lives on your device by default. Signing in is optional and only needed if you want that progress backed up and synced across devices, and we use limited, aggregated analytics to understand how the app is used.
Information we collect
Finscape does not require an account to use. If you choose to sign in, with an email and password or with Google Sign-In, we collect:
- The email address you sign in with
- If you use Google Sign-In, the basic profile information Google shares with us (your name and email address)
We do not request access to your device’s location, camera, contacts, or photos.
Data stored on your device
Whether or not you sign in, the app stores the following locally on your device, in a local database:
- Which lessons you’ve read and which tiles you’ve completed
- Your quiz answers and scores
- Your daily learning streak
If you never create an account, this information stays on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
Account and syncing (optional)
Creating an account is optional and is only needed if you want to sync your progress across multiple devices. When you sign in and use the sync feature, your lesson progress and quiz history are sent to and stored on our servers so they can be restored on another device. We use this data only to provide this feature to you, never for anything else.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand overall app usage, for example which lessons are opened and how quizzes are answered in aggregate. This data is tied to an anonymous device or app identifier, not your name or email address, and helps us see which content is useful and where people get stuck. You can learn more about how Google handles this data in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We only share data with the service providers that help us run the app:
- Google Firebase, for analytics and (if you sign in) Google Sign-In
- Our own servers, for storing your account and synced progress, if you choose to create one
We do not show ads and do not share your data with advertisers.
Data deletion
You can delete your locally stored progress at any time by clearing the app’s storage in your device settings or uninstalling the app. If you’ve created an account, contact us (see below) to request deletion of your account and any synced data from our servers.
Children’s privacy
Finscape is a general financial education app intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes (for example, if a future version of the app adds a new feature that affects your data), we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
